John Murray Forbes

Forbes was born in New York City, 11 August 1839. His parents were John Murray Forbes and Anne Howell (c1807-1885). He married Isabel Clark on 8 May 1867 in New York City. They had three children: William Howell Forbes (1837-1896), Henry De Courcy Forbes (1949-1920), Paul Revere Forbes (1936-1936). The family owned and managed a variety of businesses in New York, as well as overseas.
